Introduced by Warwick in 2005, the Corvette $$ Bass quickly gained popularity for it's two passive MEC humbucking pickups placed in the center of the body, thus covering the legendary sweet-spot on the instrument itself. The Rock Bass Corvette $$ also houses these MEC passive pickups in the same manner offering you a wider selection of tonal capabilities for any type of setting. The "$$" sports an Ash body and multi-layered Maple neck with Ekanga veneers. Two of the three control knobs are Push/Pull allowing for not only individual pickup volume, but also for pickup splitting between both series and parallel.
Rock Bass by Warwick re-emerged in 2009 with a newly designed, and upgraded feature set to match their German counterparts. The entire range of Rock Bass instruments now feature the Warwick 2 Piece Bridge, with a break angle that provides optimum tone and intonation with each string being adjustable in seconds. The Just-A-Nut III is an innovation introduced by Warwick in 2007 and is now the standard nut used for all series of Warwick and Rock Bass instruments. Slanted Warwick tuners now ensure precise and smooth tuning adjustment, and the 2 piece removable Warwick strap locks ensure your instrument will remain safely attached to your strap.
Perhaps the most bold, and eye-catching change to the new Rock Bass instruments is the iconic Warwick logo now placed on the headstock. With the famous "W" now adorning each instrument's headstock, and superb finishes that showcase superior tone woods, Rock Bass has truly defined what constitutes both value and beauty.
