The Jackson USA Custom Shop Special Edition Kelly is a masterwork of high-end custom luthiery, meticulously built to blend the iconic, aggressive angularity of the Kelly body shape with rare, exquisite exotic tonewoods. Highlighting a striking natural finish over an exotic Tasmanian Blackwood top with a thin black burst on the face of the body, this custom-built beast is contrasted by an opaque black back and sides and a matching headstock.
The foundation of this Custom Shop creation features a solid mahogany body capped with a premium Tasmanian Blackwood top, delivering a rich, complex tonal profile with deep low-end warmth and a cutting, focused mid-range. It utilizes a ultra-stable neck-through construction with a scarf joint, featuring a caramelized maple neck reinforced with graphite dual-action truss rods. The fingerboard is crafted from exquisite caramelized flame maple, adorned with black sharkfin inlays, crisp black binding along the neck and headstock, and brass side dots for high-visibility navigation on stage. Carved into a comfortable standard Jackson profile measuring .790” at the 1st fret and .850” at the 12th fret, the fingerboard boasts a compound 12" to 16" radius loaded with 24 jumbo stainless steel frets across a traditional 25.5" scale length for effortless lead work and bending.
Sonically, this Kelly is armed for aggressive performance with a set of Seymour Duncan Black Winter humbuckers with black bobbins and black hex bolts. Designed to deliver extreme high-output aggression while maintaining pristine note clarity under massive saturation, these pickups are wired through a simplified control layout featuring a master volume, master tone, and a 3-way toggle switch.
The hardware package is strictly top-tier, featuring a Tune-O-Matic string-thru-body bridge in black for maximum vibration transfer and sustain, a black Tusq graphite nut, and Gotoh locking tuners for rock-solid tuning stability. Styled with a classic 80's black Jackson logo and a custom Jackson USA Custom Shop logo on the headstock, this unique piece represents the absolute peak of American guitar craft.

Really, there's no sales tax?
There's no sales tax outside of SC. Since we're a small business, we only have to collect sales tax on in-state orders.

Can I request a setup w/ my preferred strings?
Yes, but that will come at additional charge that varies depending on the guitar. Our Pro-Tech Setup is free for every guitar using its stock strings.
Do you ship internationally?

In short, please allow us up to three business days to ship your guitar. We do our Pro-Tech setups right before the guitar leaves us so that it is ready to play once it reaches you. Normally, it only takes a day or two for us to ship out your guitar.
